This is BETA software and is not fully supported by GSC. Those of you who wish to TEST this software may do so, but at your own risk. Please leave feedback in the tech support folder. We are especially interested in those of you with 4 MB machines who are running system 7, to test for out of memory alerts when loading missions on 13" displays. To Install:
Make a backup of your 1.12 Hornet Application!
Unstuff the patcher. Run the patcher alpplication and locate your copy of F/A-18 Hornet 1.12 (this will not patch any other version of Hornet). Select the 1.12 application and click "Open". After a short time, you should have 1.13b1 up and running.
Changes:
Version 1.13b1 of Hornet has a roll rate increase to 230 deg/sec (assuming of course, your machine can handle it). We are testing to see if this new roll rate is generally accepted by users and does not prove to be too uncontrollable. The real Hornet has a similar roll rate. Please give is your feedback.
Other fixes include a change to the replay buffer memory partion which should solve the problems some people have experienced with control loss after long-term flight with a great deal of control input. We have incresed the size of the buffer by three fold which should be long enough for any situation. If the buffer should overload, a message will come up on the screen informing you that the buffer has been exceeded and you will no longer be able to use replay for that mission (or exit and reenter the simulation).
